Dr. Summaiya Zaidi is an Assistant Professor at Lahore University of Management Sciences. Dr. Summaiya Zaidi holds law degrees from Lahore, London and most recently PhD in legal history from Toronto. Dr. Summaiya Zaidi’s areas of focus include legal profession and education, constitutional rights, women’s rights and public interest law within the Pakistani and international context.
Zofeen T. Ebrahim
JOURNALIST
Zofeen T. Ebrahim is an independent journalist who has written extensively on development issues including gender, women, minority and child rights. In addition, she has written on climate change, agriculture, water, energy, renewables, sanitation, health, diseases etc., and how these impact our lives every day.
She finds Pakistan a good place to be a journalist in as there is absolutely no dearth of stories. “Every stone you turn, you will find a story under it,” she says. She contributes regularly to national English dailies like The Dawn (where she worked from 1994-2001) and The News as well as international media outlets including the Inter Press Service, The Guardian, The Third Pole, SciDev.net, Index on Censorship, Thomson Reuters Foundation, etc. In between she carries out consultancies for INGOs and NGOs.
Zofeen’s work has been commended nationally as well as internationally.
